Some of the specialized areas includes Management of Construction Projects, Building Maintenance, Building Services, Structures and Construction Technology and Building Construction Economics.

The Builder as defined by the Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro, is a skilled technologist as well as a technician well equipped to provide environmental information necessary for designing and planning of engineering works as well as building structure systems with emphasizes for self –employment.
