Directorate of Sport

The Directorate of Sports was formerly known as the sports unit, it was upgraded to the directorate in December 2016 by then Governing Council and Management of the Institution. The Directorate of Sports has 19 Staff working in the different units and it’s headed by the Acting Director, Dr. (Mrs.) Uche T. Oniomovigho. The directorate is saddled with many responsibilities such as:

1. Organizing sports for the students and staff.
2. Maintaining the sports facilities.
3. Servicing some departments by lecturing their students Physical and Health Education through general studies; to mention but a few.
4. The Directorate is in charge of sports for the institution generally and it has many sports facilities paramount amongst them is a 14,000 seating capacity Olympic-size stadium. Through the Directorate of Sports, the school has hosted many national events and also won many laurels.
