Matriculating students of Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro have been charged to be focused as they have enormous opportunities to deepen their education, expand understanding of the society and begin professional training that will launch them to successful future career.
The rector, Dr. Jacob S. Oboreh gave the charge to the 2016/2017 matriculating students of the institution at the Events / Convocation arena at Ozoro, Isoko North local council area of Delta State. Dr. Oboreh while delivering the matriculation speech said, the vision of Delta State Polytechnic Ozoro is to become a world class institution that offers 21st Century academic and technological programmes with state of the art equipment and facilities comparable to the standard anywhere in the world.
Dr. Oboreh stated that the vision is to offer technologically driven programmes leading to the award of National Diploma, Higher National Diploma and competency in various field of endeavour. He assured the students of conducive environment needed to undertake academic activities in the institution. He said presently, the Delta State polytechnic Ozoro has six schools, 21 departments and 32 programmes at HND and ND levels adding that all the programmes have been approved and accredited by the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
