School of Engineering

The School of Engineering has been position as a flagship among the comity of schools in the Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro. The School of Engineering comprises the six (6) departments of Agricultural and Bio – Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. The school is currently running fifteen (15) programmes at both ND and HND leve. All the engineering programmes are accredited by the professional bodies and the National Board for Technical Education.
 
The school is developing rapidly. It is our hope that when our present School of Engineering will be 25 years old, it will be comparable at all levels to the best School of Engineering in the world. We have state of the art facilities for training of technicians and technologists in the engineering sector. The school graduates can be found across the world putting their practical and academic skills to good use.
BRIEF PROFILE ABOUT THE DEAN OF SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING
Engr. P.O Oghenerukevwe is a Principal Lecturer from the department of Mechanical Engineering. He is a distinguished Scholar, Administrator, Engineer and Consultant. He holds Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.) from University of Benin, Benin-City and Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) from the same university.
 
He is currently pursuing his PhD degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering at the Federal University of Petroleum Resources, Effurun. He has over twenty years of teaching, research and consulting experience. He has published several journal articles and several books. He has held various positions in the school system. He was the pioneer HOD of Mechanical Engineering Technology department until he was elected Dean.
